I have been thinking that the club gas been a bit flat over the 2011 year.
I would like to see 2012 season being a bit busier with more input from all members.
What do you want from the club? Scone Palace/Dealer photoshoot?? etc etc.Around April/May.
What shows do you want the club to attend in 2012? All ideas welcome, they do not need to be RS shows.
So all in all the committee and club members are the club, so its down to everyone to put some input in.
Give it some thought!!! Its time to get planning as the show season will be upon us shortly.

The Bridge of Allan pre67 show is always popular on the 1st weekend in July & i think a few of the members have went over the years.
What about some more social gatherings aswell as all there is really is the go karting in November & ive gotta admit i had a great laugh getting scran & bevvied at Croft so maybe a wee 'West night out' somewhere central for all??
Oh and another 'West on Tour' ??

I think the club should introduce a monthly membership cost
Wouldnt need to be much - But the average committed members who attend most meetnights contribute an average £5 to the raffle . (For a club with a supposed 762 members - It seems to be the same 20 or 30 members at meetnights & shows)
The MORE funds the club have the MORE the members would benefit
Really enjoyed the WOS track night this year - MORE of them in a year would be good
Raffle prizes could be bigger & better if the funds were there .
EG - Hotel room or dinner paid for at a show - Entrance to show paid - A Track day paid for.etc etc etc
Just a thought

Wot bout a time attack event?? The guys at honda-tech had organised a time attack event at ingliston a coupla of years ago. A good day out & sumthin different.

Thanks Guys for the sugestions we have spoke about photoshoot and bits and bobs Paul also has put up about a rolling road day
We will try and put together a calander as we have a lot of things going on track guys john at Knockhill again and guys showng their cars as many time as we can remember guys we need you suport at show as well not just on a web site
Chris as Stuart says we can't charge any money for the members but if the guys that attend the meet nights keep buying as many raffles as they did last year we do ok so thats why we need as many members to attend meet nighst not just a web site
we have our committee meet on the 8th Jan(Please keep posting up sugestion and the committee will look at them all)

a photoshoot will be definatly on the cards for 2012 , as think it worked well in 2010 and gave everybody something early on to look forward to getting there cars ready and out for (even tho i still never made it with a car)
if i get my car looking how i want it to , i,ll be doing all the local shows in 2012 like bridge of allan etc as never done them before , may even venture back to the fast and modified show depending what shows they clash with down south
i cant believe how many cars that are in the club that never came out last year tbh , get the cars back out and enjoy them folks
as said above get your ideas posted and lets make it a good show season

How about a road trip or something? We could all take a drive up to fort william, on a sunny day itd be a great drive up, bite to eat etc, pics maybe? Then a drive back down again. Just an idea, but it's something a wee bit different

Scott and me are gonna be looking into going to an Irish show and Selkirk is a massive end of year show in September but usually falls on same weekend as national day , could be a good alternative though .

New on here but thought I'd share an idea I had for the car club up my way that I co-run, we were going to head to applecross up the pass, stay in the wigwams there get dinner and a pint at the local then blast back down. Roads amazing and you could even drive through glen coe and stop for some decent pictures!

was a quite year for car shows, but ah was one of the peeps whos rs never seen daylight last year so cany realy say much
but not many shows were even organised to go to last year....also alot of these shows up here fall on knockhill, croft days etc ..wich dramaticily reduced numbers who were interested in going which in turn meant that west stands were not being shown at all at these events.....
done the photo shoot at scone few years bk ...a personally loved that day out and would welcome it bk even if a wasnt drivivng an rs
fast and modified wasnt the usual show type that we would be at but ,....it was different from seeing the same cars and also probably let us be known to a generation that had forgot about the brand of RS
plus we can also steal the show at rs knockhill this year too
