brake disc skimming

need the AP discs skimmed,anywhere in lanarkshire that does this.
ive got a lip on the inner disc and been told that skimming will be enough rather than spending the £400+ to replace them

I need it done on two cars as well. Fitted DS2500 pads to the Cossie and Alfa, instantly got judder on both! Even with new discs.
Been told that this can happen with these pads but that if they are skimmed all is well afterwards?!
