Well the old slag decided to break down on me this afternoon put it out of 4th and had no gears couldnt select anything attall put a post up on the main RSOC site and alot of the mk1 lads reckon its the gear linkage ao im hoping thats all it is
just thot id share my missery with you lol

Ah that's pish mate crap time of year to happen aswell hope it's a quick cheap fix, pm Dalsy, imsy or stevie the beard they might be able to help?

I know the feeling Derek..as you know from Facebook my power steering pipe burst on Sunday night. Got it sorted yesterday but my mechanic discovered whilst putting seals on my thermostat housing (a job that was needing done for a while) that the whole thing needed replaced so that was another £100 n top of the pipe & his time...aaarrrggghhh!!!
The joys right enough!! Hope yours aint too serious!

Had the car in at the garage today and the guy that allways does work on my car recons that its some sort of internal dammage
as everything outside the box seems ok will update more tomorow when he has had a good look and we have found out for deffonate
gonna be an expensive fix .

Early xmas pressie for the car then eh!!!! Ive still got a power steering leak so back in the garage tomorrow...was leaving wee puddles everywhere i parked yesterday lol The JOYS!!!!

Dont know if its the same as a standard focus but my mates cable keeps poping off at the ball/socket bit under the gear stick
well it did until i cableguyed it

no big deal mate ,its worth a look his gear stick just flooped about and i just pulled the gaiter off and seen the cable was off and its 200 quid for the cables so i couldnt be bothered doing them so i just put a cable tie on it and wraped a bit of tape round it and its still working
