Personally I thought the meet night was quite buisy for the first meet of the year , some of us met up early for a quick bite to eat but the service was very slow so we were bit late .
The date change might not have worked for everyone aswell overall thought it was a good start to the year.

Personally thought 20 pus people on the first meet of the year on a different datte from normal wasnt bad at all
The issue with the opening times for the pub, and meals has now been resolved, so hopefully we can have people going early after work for a meal before the meet nite
The Mailcoach has kindly offered to extend the bar menu to 7:30 pm instaed of 5 pm so that you can have a good variety of meals for not a lot of money, 2 cours dinner for less than £10
Also they have aggreed to kep the bar open for us until 10 pm , and last orders at 9:30 pm , so we dont have to rush away.
Again in the summer season which is a couple of months away, the bar will be open to 11pm , so we have that to llo forward to aswell, sitting outside having a few beers in the summer nites
So Id ask that we support the venue by trying the menu next month and see how it is, and if it will work for most people.
Ill definately be there next month, as the meal I had last nite in the other venue, I spent most of last nite bringing it back up, not pleasent at all

I came lastnight straight from a 12 hour shift, got there about 7, a post was put on here saying to get a bite at about half 6 in the mail coach, some folk waited over an hour then left before the meeting started, Martin was sat in there himself at half 6 then left before 8, the meeting never really kicked off till about 9, felt like leaving myself if I'm honest as I was shattered,
there would have been more faces but they left coz they got fed up waiting about in an empty pub

as above i felt that last night was a bit of a let down
i wasn't going to come as i was starting work early this morrning...(4.30am)
but decided to turn up at around 7pm there where 3 of us then mel and emma turned up gave it a while then seen some members on the carpark camera......
but heard that the rest of the members where having dinner in the other venue......
piont one : i think if there was going to be another venue it should have been posted so as anyone wanting food
could have gone there.. i:e martin as he was wanting food and ended up at mac d's in parkhead
point two :if the food did not turn up in time for the members to make meet night they could have let us know in good time
rant over..........
and as the meet was just starting i had to go home for work in the morrning
so basicly a waist of time and fuel..........

I wasn't there on Wednesday, but this is a big deal over nothing;
Why is everyone having a go, because they turned up at "7pm" or the "back of 7" and hardly anyone turned up until 7:30pm???
Thats when meetnight starts, and has done for over 7 years.......
Quote from Meetnight Thread:
If folks turn up early, thats their decision.
The club encourages folks to eat at the meet location if possible, but there were obviously circumstances outwith the clubs control, which changed this month. So, for some to go elsewhere for food as a "1 off", is up to them.
Meetnight date was changed to suit the majority this month, but it didn't suit me!!
Should i start a thread moaning to the committee about that...... I THINK NOT; $HIT HAPPENS!!

am no having a go, but can see why some folk left pissed off, yes meet night starts from 7.30 onwards, 5 of us strod till after 8 then 2 left was the back of 8 before folk started to show and 9 o clock before anything was spoken about, which is a long time to be hanging about in a pub doing nothing when u start at 4.30 am, folk make sacrifices to be there for half 7 so the meet should start then, poor Martin came at half 6 to have a bite with some of the guys and eventually pissed of when he was told they were up the road and he'd been sittin himself like a tit for an hour, turnout was the best av seen in my time in the club but it wa a bit of a mess, I left at 10, and al be there next month but some folk were pissed off and they had every reason to be IMO

I arranged to go for a meal on wednesday by making a few phone calls at 4pm to see what some of the other members where doing for some food. - Any 1 wanting a meal could have done the exact same thing.
The reason we were later arriving at the mailcoach - The service in the restaraunt was very poor & timing was out of our control.
As said b4 - Meetnight starts at 7.30pm onwards (there was 9 of us there 4 a meal & over 20 at the mail coach - So shouldnt have been 2 many sitting about themselves ( We are all Adults after all)
IMO - If any one had any queeries on the night going ahead a phone call to 1 of the committee members is not hard & doesnt cost much....
We are supposed to be a club of members - Not strangers ( Perhaps More communication required by all)

Absolutely fantastic to read this as I'm glad to see people with a bit of passion for the club
So next month we are back to the first Wednesday of the month, with the bar menu being extended to 7.30pm for us and the bar open to 10 pm
I'm hoping that people will be there in big numbers for a decent meal at good prices and we can then all be there from early and upto 10pm talking about all things RS and the West and everything inbetween
Personally I apologies for turning up late but I was on the phone from early on explaining what problems we where having
See yous all next month hopefully and onwards and upwards

I knew there was an issue that required resolved at the venue that I had went to address on Tuesday but venue had a massive wake in progress , so left it till meetnite to speak to the venues management
I spent a good twenty minutes or so discussing some concerns which where all resolved so that the meetnites could start to go back to normal eg decent food prices and reasonable time to close the venue
At the end of the day I want the meetnites to be fun and plenty conversation that's why the discussion about the track day was do open about costs and dates etc
At the end of the day we can't force people to come along to the meetnites but the people who do come along I want it to be a good nite as at the end of the day we put the effort in to do newsletters raffles updates on Upcoming events etc
