Dunno if anybodys heard about this but if no am sure a could think of a couple of you track boys who would be intested

Super Lap Scotland aims to prove who is the fastest driver in Scotland...the KING or QUEEN of KNOCKHILL! Devised in conjunction with Track Scotland, the rules and class structure will, equalise the most powerful cars on the planet with even the most modest of Road Cars, Hot Hatch and Track Cars, it is open to all drivers, including first timers. Step up this year and prove just how fast you are!

Classes

CLASS A - 401bhp / tonne and above
CLASS B - 301- 400bhp / tonne
CLASS C - 201-300bhp / tonne
CLASS D - up to 200bhp / tonne
Drivers will nominate which class they fall into based on their power output (at the wheels) and the weight of their car, including driver. Rolling roads have been contacted throughout Scotland and are willing to provide a power run and corner weight package at
a discounted price of only £50 to produce a certificate of output. Organisers reserve the right to request a driver goes to their nearest rolling road to certify a competitors car's power and weight ratio and /or move a competitor between classes if deemed required. A list of facilities will be posted soon.

Tyres
All tyres listed on the MSA 1A and 1B are permitted (no slick tyres) See pages 192 – 196 for the 2013 Blue Book for the list of permitted tyres.

Competition licence
Competitors must have an MSA non racing National B licence which costs £42 - this can be applied for on line with the MSA or on the morning of an event. No medical is required. Holders of any existing National B sprint, race or rally licence is of a valid level to enter.


Protective gear
All entrants must wear an MSA valid and approved helmet, race suit and gloves. Race boots are optional as are race underwear.


Timing
All cars must be fitted with an appropriate transponder for timing purposes. These can be purchased and a limited number will be available for hire for £20 on each competition day. Competitors are strongly recommended to buy their own transponder – make and model will be advised.


Fule
Only regular retail pump fuel is permitted


Car requriements
All cars must comply with the MSA Technical Regulations section S11 for road cars and S12 for modified cars. No modifications are required if its a road car, carrying a 1.75l HFFF extinguisher is recommended but not compulsory, modified cars must comply with S12 section requirements of the Blue Book . Event format
All cars must be scrutineered for safety inspection in advance of the start time (timetables for each day to be published). Depending upon entry numbers, all cars will have a familiarisation session, then a timed warm up followed by qualifying with the 5 fastest cars, per class, from qualifying going forward to the Super Lap Final where they must set their fastest single timed lap. Full class points will be awarded if there are 5 or more in any given class at the start of the day, 4 or fewer will be awarded half points.
The circuit will be used in both clock wise and anti clockwise directions during the Twin Track Spring Fling, and directions of each other event tba.

Points & trophies
Points will be awarded 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for the fastest 10 per class during the qualifying session, then 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 for the fastest per class in the Super Lap Shoot Out at the end of the day.
Trophies per class will be awarded for the first three places if there are 5 or more starters in a class at the start of the day. 3 or 4 cars per class will get trophies for 1st and 2nd, for 2 cars or less, one trophy will be awarded. Championship trophies will be awarded at the last round and again at a KMSC Awards Night.

Registration & entry fees
Entry form must be completed by the designated closing date, and returned to the KMSC Event Secretary, Knockhill Racing Circuit, by Dunfermline, Fife, KY12 9TF, or on line via the Club website, or via the phone on 01383 723337.
The entry fee for a one day event is £160 (no vat) payable to the KMSC. Drivers must be a member of the KMSC - £20 annual fee. Drivers can enter either the Saturday or Sunday of the May event, for £160 each day or enter both days for a fee of £275.

Seems like a good idea, but they've thrown in too many rules for the majority to "give it a go" IMO.

Well why dont you guys do something like this for track division make things a little more intresting there are a good few cars round about same power now even couple different agreed clases could bring more intrest to track division aswell perhaps jst an idea dont know if it a gd one or not tho sorry john dont think the fevo would be sutable for this either

The problem with the fievo is it would steal too many people's thunder

I may have another look at the regs and see what's involved
