In For a Long Wait.

I got my car taken into a Ford dealership, as the keyless start was not working. They've now had it a week and they still can't get the new sensor to match up with the keys. I got a phone call this morning telling me that they've tried everything that Ford have advised them to do and now they need to get a Ford technician up to it and he won't be here until at least the middle of next week, even then they can't guarantee he'll fix it right away. The car is out of warranty but at least the original price they quoted me, they have to keep to, so the extra labour and whatever else, they'll need to cover. It could be worse, they could be charging me storage

Ford are useless unfortunatley, youd probably get more help on the main RSOC forum, I know the Mk1 FRS guys have a wealth of knowledge but i suppose the Mk2 is still fairly new & not everyone has the answers to the new problems that may arise. Hope it gets sorted asap tho Peter!

I got the car back today. After getting it running they discovered that the alternator was faulty, so that was another job to be done. It's been off the road since 18th March, so it's good to be driving it again.
