Was up at Dalgety BAy at HQ Garage getting the Focus on the rollers and more mapping of the ecu

CAr made more power, and more torque from last time, and Im at the limits of the injectors and fuel pump, although still very safe for the spec just now

Time for some track on Sunday, and be nice if it was dry , so i can get the most out the car, but if not, then ill just need to hang onto it for dear life

no where near those figures Derek

I think some tuners are a bit optimistic when they are quoting big numbers like that, my car had a printout for 338 bhp when i got it, and when i put it on the rollers at HQ garage it had 181 bhp @ the wheels, no where near what it was alleged to have had

Today the car made 284 bhp At The Wheels @ 1.1 bar boost, and was making power right to the limiter, not falling off at all

With the improvemnts in teh car over the past few weeks with teh manifold and intake hose, the powers not dropping off anymore, and is making 60 bhp at the wheels more at the limiter from when i got it set up the last time and we found the turbo wasnt flowing enough air, due to the intake hose

so cars took another step up today, and looking forward to Knockhill on Sunday

Jamie im using a DASTEK unichip, mappable piggy back ecu, which Russ has very good knowledge off, plus all the software and hardware to map it

Plus they charge per the hour, not a one off balloon payment like other companies do for them doing a " live map " on the car

I opted to use this, as I was planning on doing work to the car in stages, so means i can alter the map as i do the improvements , rather than use a generic map which was on teh car before, and was making teh car seriously overfuel
