Have a look at this folks and let me know if any of you would be up for the road trip, would be spaced over a couple of days, mileage from glasgow round trip is about 500 miles, once people are interested we could organise a date that suits most in the coming months

Was just thinking that too Grant...for what it would cost in petrol / hotels you could get a week abroad!

Keep it cheap; camp.
Plenty "free" places when ur in middle of nowhere, lol.
...or sleep in the car. Done that at North Yorks; sprawled across the back seat with sleeping bag. Actually quite comfy.
It could be made to work for 2014, if enough thought put in, and enough interest.
Could get a great b&b deal, if we booked a place out, and went at right time of year.
