West of Scotland RSOC

Right people need to know who's in for defo on Saturday, need to know by Thursday so the garage can plan the space. Need to be there for half 8, so thinking harvester for 0745 at strathy park entrance.

Come on we have 3 cars for this not a very good show for this!

Yeah Davie it was a poor show. I have always wanted to do this one and had been looking forward to it. From pictures of previous ones it looked like it would be a great turn out. I doubt they will let us do it next year after moving all their cars out the way and only 3 of us turning up! Sorry forgot Danny, he was on his way to work and because there was only three of us kindly went back home and picked up his so we could fill up the showroom! Well at least the cars looked good in the showroom and cos nobody came I got mine in!! Pity really, I am jealous of everyone that is home and not working away because you get the opportunity to show of your car and see everyone else's. I work away and miss most of the shows. John very kindly took my car down to ford fair so I could show it off down there and let some of my southern friends eventually see it. I'm gutted I can't make more shows but we need to at least try to go when we arrange something like Evans Halshaw cos they won't do it again if we don't bother. Why should they either!

Shame you didn't get more on the day but I'm led to believe the focus rs guys didn't turn up! Unfortunately not everyone enjoys static shows which is why the club is so diverse in the events we do attend. Lots of folk work weekends so tend to only go to the actual RSOC shows, think we did 5 this year although that includes our non official show lol! I personally think we do well, we have attended lots of shows and track events this year, in July the club was at 2 different shows hundreds of miles apart!

I thought this was a mk2 Focus RS day, and we were just invited along with a few cars??

Well said Mel & I thought the same as Stu that it was primarily a Mk2 FRS day with a few spaces for us if we wanted.

Also with so many different genres of shows throughout the season not every one will get a great attendance from ourselves as Mel said some shows are held on the same weekend at different venues & people who dont always have weekends free will carefully choose the shows they want to go to. Also theres the expense & time to prepare & travel to all these shows. I myself have health problems so sometimes have to pull out of things at short notice plus dont always have the cash to fill up the tank & go as im pretty far away from alot of things.

it was never a mk2 focus rs day! it was an rs day and the 2 clubs involved were us and focusrsoc! they had 1 guy turn up and we had 3, was very embarrassing to say the least! doubt very much they'll put the day on again
