I was hoping to come along as usual and share my news that I've finally picked up a series 2 rs turbo but my other half has booked a holiday for us so I'll have to wait till November!

I seem to remember from last month that there was talk of maybe arranging go karting? If that's discussed I'd like at add my name if that's ok?

Just found out the Mailcoach is closed! Anyone coming to meet night we are in the Black Bear up the road from Mailcoach at Premier Inn

Turned and went home as thot it was another no show meet

To my knowledge there has never been another meet where the venue was closed to us or people never went to ghe meetnight at all

The committee did very well tonight in making a quick decision and informing people on the site and Facebook, with numerous people texting friends to let them know about the change

Still a busy night and very good of the manager of the blackbear to accomadate us at short notice , we even got free sandwiches for the group of us there

Thanks to everyone who made Meetnight tonight and apologies to anyone who went to the Mailcoach to find it shut.

We did have someone at the Mailcoach until 8pm to let folk know that the meet was at the Black Bear. No-one knew the venue would be shut tonight so it was a quick decision to go elsewhere.

Thanks to the Manager of the Black Bear for the hospitality and the sandwiches lol!

Some people will never be happy. I'm sure most people that turned up at the pub to find it closed would have a number for someone else in the club, that could have informed them of the change of venue at short notice. Just like I did & everyone that was at the black bear. Congrats to the committee for getting the meetnight on. All pulled together at there 1st meet.

Youve not been at the last meetnight and didn't post on the thread to say you were going last night , so why would anyone text you. You have plenty peoples number you could have easily text someone to see what was happening

At the end of the day it wasnt expected , but we used some common sense on the night and dealt with it in the best way possible , well done the new committee

Couldn't make it last night due to work commitments.

Sounds like some quick thinking stopped most having a spoiled evening.

Yeah after a panicked phonecall from Tracey & John Paul & a phone call to Mel I had an enjoyable wee night in the Black bear. Nice place & thought it was good of the management to throw in the sandwiches

Poor show from the Mailcoach though knowing that we ALWAYS come on the 1st Wednesday of the month & have sometimes been the ONLY customers they have in on that Wednesday!!

Oh & appoligies Dalsy..I was half way along the M74 when i remembered you wanted to look at my cars engine for a measurement of something...sorry..it was pi$$ing it down so much though you woulda got soaked :/

Ma point is this.....texts were sent and calls were made to a select few...that's poor ...been umpteen posts about members who don't do fb ...also the members a Foned didn't no either or had seen on fb but by that point a was bk in wishy so wasn't turning bk...another case of don't share your thots ..but hey ho eh

And didn't relise if u don't post up that your going to meet then u canny go lol...also there has been a few poorly attended meets this year just presumed his was 1 of them ..ma bad
