hello!
I finally got some recent pictures of my Series 2 escort together (please excuse the quality lol), I've only ever made it to a couple of meeting over the past couple of years due to work, so I thought I show a few pics for people who aren't familiar with the car
I've had the car for four years, and have restored it from a standard spec to how it is now
a wee pic during the summer.. well it was sunny for a bit
Interior is fairly original, 90-spec interior, sparco steering wheel, audio-scape door pods, autometer liquid filled oil-pressure guage in custom made heater-vent pod...
In the usual RS hiberation for the winter..
The engine spec is a 1800 zvh -
1800 'blacktop' zetec bottom end, lightened/balanced crank, cvh flywheel(balanced on zetec crank), Helix Organic Clutch,
the block was modified to take a cvh water pump, cvh (1.3)cam-belt tesioner, engine mount also modified to fit zetec block.
remote oil filter head, oil cooler mounted in o/s inner wing behind vent,
ported and polish head, Piper 285T2 cam, Kent cams vernier, port matched manifolds,
K&N Air filter, T3 turbo, heat wrapped exh manifold, magnex exh system
Group A coil, magnecor leads, Cossie plugs, BBR chip...
...and lots of polishing and powder coating
Rebuilt gearbox with LSD.
Suspension is koni adjustables (-40mm), front strut brace.
Sierra cosworth 2wd brakes all round, braided hoses
fully restored/painted/powdercoated underneath
..and thats pretty much it. It made 201bhp ad 202lbft of torque.. which isn't moster power but its quick (PB 1/4 mile is 14.85) considering I built it myself
