Having a bad day, need a bit of cheering up, well all you lucky, lucky RS owners out there. Just remember those not as fortunate as yourselves, have a look at this.................one (8) careful owners, one full car just in lot of bits.

Stripping the car this weekend, then lots of rubbing down, primer, more rubbing down lot of paint then i might be able to open the garage door!!

Well, stripped out the car today, the drivers seat was mounted with three bolts as the other bolts were floating on rust. Just below the accelerator pedal about a 12" x 3" section of nothing but fibreglass pained black.
No rear section of sill, but was well hidden by the body kit, on both the drivers and passengers side. Rear beam mount rusted beyond repair (need a new section, anyone??), and various other patches.
Rotten absolutely rotten, anyone have the odd sapphire shell lying about before i fire the welder up??
Just as a matter of interest should i get that far, does anyone know the primer colour for ebony black?

I'll post some pictures up shortly, have a good easter everyone

does,nt sound too good mate , looks a rite clean car from the outside too

get some pics up as its hard finding a shell that wont be the same mate so may just have to plod away with it

as for primer colour for ebony black , ad just use grey primer mate

I must admit it was a wee bit soul destroying trying to find out where the rust stopped, but these things are sent to try us.

Beats me how the ejit that had the car before me managed to drive it it must have bent and flexed around hard corners.

Anyway out with the grinder tomorrow morning and time to add some fresh metal, don't think it'll make it to any RSOC shows this year, but i can always bring it along in bits..

I'd better make it up to the next night, i need some inspiration now.

Sounds a bit of a nightmare Donald.
Once you get in about it tho, you will probably make progress quicker than you think.
