Right thought i better start my resto thread as the car left tonight to start the fab work!
I have stole most of the story from the passionford site as it was on there.
Here goes. Enjoy.


Cant wait for tomorrow, really excited, just talked to the current owner and made the arrangements to go and pick her up. Going to be a bit of a pain but hopefully have enough guys to help get it out and onto the trailer. Wait until you see the pics of it now!

Then the next day,

Right its been a long day but heres the story.....

Gave the camera to the wee man so he could keep track! (6 yr old son)



Went to get the van, trailer and got called to come and collect the bike! Turned round and went and got my leathers....





Brought the bike home and had some fun on the way, trying not to blow it up again!!



Went and collected the van and trailer, guy at the van rental place took his fkn time and was a doorknob but we got there in the end.

Most of the stuff was ready in the car but still had to go and get the interior at calums house.

Had a look around before we pushed it out.



Pushed it out onto the street and onto the trailer.












Took the car back to calums house to pick up the seats, was very nervous about it bouncing about on the back of that old trailer!

Went for a munch cos we were starving.




Got it home




And tucked away.

Photographer was bored so went to play.....we joined in shortly after!

All in all a good day, well pleased, couldnt care less about the condition its in, its my first car and i have it back, its going to get fixed properly and i cant wait to get it onto the road, most likely to have a 400 bhp 4x4 cossy stuck into it since most of it needs to be cut apart anyway.... cant wait!



Now that was nearly 4 months ago and tonight my mate turned up to pick up the escort shell to take it away to start the fabrication,



The wee man and Cheryl played in the cossie and watched!

The old pics are in a box upstairs, i took them when i was 18! Kept them all these years waiting to find her again!

Put the intercooler back in today, had to weld both sides of it due to cracks down each side. Worked a treat! Pulled out the drive and pu the bbot down......woosh! yeehaa, hahahaha back to normal. See you lot at the rollers on sat.

Hopefully have it on the road for the end of the year, Billy (guy doing most of the fab work) seems to think he will get through the fab work quite quickly, then in for paint. Cant wait, I go away tomorrow for a 4 week trip and by the time i get back i should be able to rebuild the engine and get the beam away for powder coating etc. Hopefully have it all sitting there for him to go back on when he's finished. Then back to the lock up for building.

Well the escorts stripped and the cossie is now getting the same treatment. Havent talked to Billy in a couple of days, gagging to know how he's getting on. Wish i was home so i could help.

Well here goes, went out to see the car, not much been done to it!! I have a feeling that if it keeps going at this rate i will be puting it on a trailer and taking it down to Beefy and Carl!

Took the missus's new motor to go and see mine!
