No probs mate, russel only had the middle one and on looking at it, the brackets all loose so i might just figure out a few to use yours, they are in much better nick.

Well decided it was high time to get on with some of the build, Firstly the new oil pump was fitted;

Old;

Image

Image

New;

Image

Fitted all the front crank seals, plate, sump and rocker cover.

Image

Cleaned up the dizzy;

Image

Started on the Inlet manifold;

Image

Image

Stripped it, cleaned, rubbed down and masked up. Then put on gas mark 5 !! haha

Image

Tested my crackle paint skills on the bottom of the manifold

Image

Dismantled the loom from the fuel rail and cleaned it.

Image

Once I had done the top side of the inlet manifold/Swedish plenum I fitted it

Image

Image

Then got my nice clean injectors/fuel rail back on.

Image

Image

Tomorrow the other side!

Stripped it all

Image

Cleaned and painted

Image

All the other parts buffed and cleaned

Image

Assembled

Image

And back on

Image

Image

Fitted the turbo and manifold

Image

Forgot to take pics of before for you…but it wasn’t pretty!!

Took it out into the light so I could see my handy work.

Today I had a shot at my zinc plating kit…..been putting it off for ages cos it looks confusing!

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Had a wee break to go and pick up the bloody X5……hopefully I have a mate that can sort it out, he’s pretty handy!! (bigyin) And while I was out I picked up the stuff from the powder coater.

Image

Image

Image

Finished for the day….

Image

Image

Image

Right everytime I bolt something onto this thing it gets heavier…..that little step at the front of the shed is beginning to be a right pain!!! I need to lift this thing myself

Getting there Allister.

But..... 3 foot suspension set up is far too high IMO, and you'll never get the power down with those 4 inch wheels :lol: :lol:
