Binned the impreza wagon i was working on when i got the chance of a 3 door shell bought the car as a rolling shell a just before christmas been working on it since then it was imported in 2008 and has done 83000 miles so the body is in great condition and the floor has been undersealed with 3m polyurethane underseal so a good basis to start with.Doing all the work myself so its taking longer than i hoped lol
When i picked up the car
All the stickers removed i have the original alloy gonnet and a facelift front bumper to put on
the floor was mint no rust so just had to give the floor and inner arches a fresh cout of schutz
all parts that were on the floor of car were removed and painted used some parts i had ready from the wagon
the engine bay before painting inside the car looked the same but forgot to take a picture
the engine bay inside the car and boot fter Painting
Then stipped the rest on the shell bare for painting maybe went a little too far lol
Next have to finish prep work for painting and built a temperary booth for painting want the best finish possible on the paintwork
Got the booth finish and car ready for painting
My paint guns
Fastmover mini gun , DeVilbiss FL5 with 1.8 tip for primer , DeVilbiss GTI Limited Edition with 1.4 tip for basecoat and topcoat and presure regulator
Paint time, first time ive painted a car gave the shell a primer using zinc primer to help prevent any future rust.
