The time has come to get the Saph back to its former glory after WOS day at Knockhill. The decision to repair the damage and put it back on the road was quickly shelfed in favour of a full body restoration.
Its actually been away since October last year. Borrowed as a cross reference for someone elses rebuild (Damaged 11K mile car and a brand new shell. This one is gonna be stunning when finished)
Away to its temp. new home
The years have been pretty good to the Saph, with only minimal repairs needing done. Heres a wee peek after some investigation work.
PS - Thanks Scott (rsbandit) for the wheels, so i can get the Escos rims off and into storage
No going back now
Arch is quite good but new one will be fitted.
Same this side, but new arch anyway
Damage from Knockhill. Fortunately this door needed replaced anyway, fooked along the bottom
Back panel is not bad for a 16 year old car
Not the worst
A small repair to the bottom of the wing required and new jacking point needed
All in all, not bad for an auld Ford
