S2 engine restoration

As some of you know the 16i is on the back burner the now until I kick the S2 into touch.
The engine was very smokey before Christmas and I kept putting it off until the other week there
then decided its about time to get the finger out , so .......
Engine was stripped in place hopeing to just replace worn rings but the bores were slightly scored
so the block was also removed and taken into the work
The rings are not cheap for these cars when you buy the correct ones but the problem has been
getting a local motor factors to get the correct big end shells , then the engine room in Motherwell came up trumps
quality shells and reasonable price but had to get them ordered in as not kept in stock
So the cylinder head is now scrubbed up and ready for the block to get finished
