Track Cossie Updated sun 24/5

Postby davie 3 door » Sat Apr 04, 2009 3:40 pm

5Bought it last week as a non runner :x

However last Sat night Andy Mac and myself started to put it back together.

It ,at the moment is not a thing of beauty"Dalsy quote" lo

However when ive finished i will be all good!!!

First fault found,
Car only running on three cylinders.

Changed lead, even though it had a spark, changed plug still no right, then lastly swopped over injector and found the green injector to be a fault.

Got a green from Duf a new member on here and there its now running.

Car is being stripped out tommorow, and going fpor a bit of welding this week.

All new brakes, tbelt full service kit,r888s and new ss zorst soon.

Thanx so far to Andy for waving his wand over the tired old car

Pics will be uploaded soon.

Watch this post boys.lol :D

see your floors gone in the same place as mine was. just finnished welding up all the pasangers side of my sapphire. had to make up part of the chassis leg and plates for the floor. the old plates were just welded over the old rusty metal. got the drivers side to do now.

After the full day working on this fooking scrapper!!HhMMMMM i mean race prep machine there was again more progress!!
Stripped all the fuel lines out from underneath and ran in new, inside the car!!!

Also with a little help from Fraser my good friend we have got all the new brakes fitted.

The car has worked out to be in worse condition than first thought, however after only 2 weeks it is showing signs of improvement.

Going to Gibbys tommorow for a wee freshen up and some welding.

To do=Cage to be fitted and seats n harnesses, new ss mongoose zorst, new magnacor leads and new fuel tank and some fine tuning.

I will get some more pics up asap.

Cheers Davie
