Fiesta track car painted frozen white/new decals

Ive by passed the remote filter and oil cooler for the moment, and fitted an oil filter where the take off plate was , its now got oil in it, and thankfully there appears to be no damage done, just coated the underside of the car in oil

so off to Knockhill tomorrow to drive it in anger for the first time in 6 months

Also like to add, my thanks to Stuart up at Noisebusters in Newmains who kindly let me borrow his ramp to get the repairs done, much appreciated

Glad to report all is well in Fiesta world, wee car was brilliant today, so much quicker, and still more to come

couple of wee issues to resolve , gear linkage being the biggest culprit, and small oil leak from the oil breather return, rest of the car was tip top, very pleased indeed with how its going, and i even ran out of petrol, so plenty miles on the clock today

What bhp were you before the engine change ?

I was getting the exhaust modifed at Simons Custom Exhausts, and when he removed the exhaust , we seen a bit of rot hiding behind the exhaust, so i decided to do the job right, and drop the back axle off the car, along with the tank, shocks and filler pipe, so i could do the welding, and then get the whole underside of the car wire brushed and ready for some underseal and paint



took all the paint off from underneath the car with a wire brush on a grinder





this was the rot that was hiding



when i removed all the paint , this was a little soft, so decided to repair this aswell



all welded , just need to underseal the whole back end now

just bought a flocked dash with all the associated plastics flocked too, change the indise a wee bit with new fet plates and carbon door cards

yes after a few weeks of going aff ma heid , looking at new track cars , ive decided to keep the Fiesta, i cannae part with the car

so ive bought a new trailer today, and im now going to make some improvemnts to the car over the next couple of months before the season starts

So full steam ahead making the Fiesta better for 2012

Ive bought a new flocked dash with associated parts, so stripped out the dash tonite with help from Chris ( chris escort rs)





Also had a bit of an oil leak from the sump which has been annoying me, so started stripping under the bonnet to get the sump off, which reuires the alternator, starter and manifold /downpipe stripped off



so watch out for some more improvemnt over the next few weeks to make the car better for the new season
