does anyone on here know if a mk2 xr2 shaft is the same as one from a mk2 1.6 diesel fiesta

Dunno about 1.6 diesel, but there are differences across the range.
Found that out when converting 1.1 to 1.6 many moons ago. XR shafts were bigger diameter (fitted and ran ok, but oil leaked out pretty bad).
pm Goafer, they had a mk2 XR breaking a while back, might have the shafts your looking for.
