My mrs was asking for details on a Focus i've got for sale for a guy at her work...apparently the guy had an older Ford that had now seen better days and had failed mot so gave her the details and said would possibly take the old car as a p/x.

Turns out the mot failure is a white mk6 RS2000 which he has owned for years which was a good start, and when I asked for more info it turns out he has another blue oval as well..... a 4x4 Sapphire Cosworth that has been dry stored and unused since 2004

Just waiting on further details coming from the boy but think i'm heading through at weekend to have a look/chat with him

Funny thing was, to start with she said it was an RS200 he had

Well was due to head through yesterday but due to a number of things we couldnt - going through this weekend instead.

Got some details/pics on the cars though - the Saff is a magenta 4x4 which is running stage 3 power. It dropped a valve in 2004 and was put in storage. He sourced another head a few years ago and been fitted so is running again but needs a windscreen and a bit of attention to rear arches. Quite well specced though and has 17" Azevs, twin headlights etc so we will see what happens.

Boy is based in Airdrie if anyone thinks the car sounds familiar!

Well, wee update - bought both cars today

Brought RS2000 home today and doesnt appear to be a bad car at all, needs a bit welding and a radiator so will be sorted soon.

Collecting the Cossie next weekend on the trailer, not sure what going to do with it yet but will get some pics soon!
