RS Turbo Series 2 Questions

I was just wondering if its possible to get new bearings for the bottom of the mk4 escort steering columns?
I noticed the steering wheel rocking when i last drove it and I've taken the dash and seen the movement in the bottom of the steering column when moving it.

Also whats the best way of taking the wiring loom/ fuse box out?
I've un-taped the engine loom and removed the Bosch KE-Jetronic part of the loom leaving just the lighting/ancillary wiring but i need to take the fuse box out to seam weld the engine bay and bulk-head, do i feed the engine bay wiring loom back into the car that way?

I'll have a look at getting the wiring loom through the bulkhead from the cabin side, got a Clifford alarm in my car thou so there's masses of wires to pass through

Will have a look at the column when i get it out, might see if i can get a good second hand one, rather than repairing mine,
