up at 5 and ready so keen to see the man and his machine, 3 hours to drive to get to the start, we all have a laugh and so full of heart, we know its early,the weather is damp, but we need to see those cars come of the ramp!! through the fog and rain we push on with style, we know the main man is due in a while, then comes a whistle the marshall says time, the car is now coming through the forest of pine!, its howl is frightning like a banshey on heat, there is no escape as we shuffle are feet, and suddenly now its why were here Mcrae over crest of course in top gear, its been worth the wait, the weather,the toil, to see the brave scot here on top soil!, But now there is silenceits defiant in to, cause you and the wee man are better say jew, so rest in peace colin our lad, you gave us your best jounny be proud of ur dad!, The memoires you left us are all just the best you shown like star your simply the best, colin your a mate thats what all thought made you are hero and that just cant be bought!, And now your in heaven with your boy at rest, but you left us the true meaning of FLAT OVER CREST!!
