My Fez is alive!

My fiesta has been on a bit of a holiday at my mechanics as the oval shaped pistons weren't doing it's power delivery any favours lol!!

The engine has been re-bored with new pistons and just waiting for new idle speed control valve to be fitted. Will be good to get it back looking forward to running it in in the rubbish weather - not!

Anyway it will be back in time to be parked up for another few months

I've found some very very good tips for running an engine in and bedding the rings in correctly by a guru in America that russ Paton follows on all there engine rebuilds

I'll be following it to the letter on Saturday at knockhill with the focus

Well after a wee hiccup I actually do have my Fiesta back lol! The engine was all in but when mechanic was making sure all was well he wasn't happy with oil pressure still, he ended up having to re-do the crank (not a happy mechanic )

All done now and home waiting to be run in and used. Despite sitting outside at the garage quite a lot it is dry inside - obviously my technique of cutting up black bin liners and stuffing them in around the rear side window seals worked well

Happy motoring ahead (allegedly - I am aware it's a Ford, the happiness will be short lived but I will persevere )
