Cosworth lsd

Hi there I have a sierra sapphire 2.0 dohc with an open diff with bolt in type drive shafts. My mate has fitted a gripper diff into his cossie diff casing meaning the original lsd is surplus. I was wondering if I could buy his lsd and fit it into my diff casing to replace my open diff?

yes if its the same size , ie 7" ,casings are the same even in cosworth
