well as some may or may not know , I melted a piston at Oulton Park on the brand spanking new only did 200 miles engine
with the help of Stevie The Beard, 8 ball and wee Scott, the engine was rebuilt with another brand new block and another piston.
I also fitted a wide band AFR guage to teh car, to monitor what the fueling is doing, and fitted a 1 1/2 litre swirl pot and bosch 044 fuel pump in the wheel well to stop fuel surging, and back on the rollers at HQ Garage on Thursday to be set up and mapped again
Car with 15 psi boost and AFR of 10.4 made 314 bhp at the wheels, so approx 360/370bhp and 322 ftibs torque at the wheels so approx 380ftibs
Had the map amended to make the car run even safer and with teh swirl pot and AFR guage it gives me some confidence in the car
So now looking forward to some hassle free days in the car soon, may go to Knockhill next Sunday for an open pitlane 4 hour trackday
